Each organization is likely to have its own template but a Job Description typically includes the following elements:

• responsibilities
• associated competencies
• education and experience requirements  
• reporting relationships

The organization’s Human Resources department will typically be responsible for completing job grade and pay scale details, as well as validating the deliverable from an employment law perspective.
