The Change Dimensions Diagnostic tool provides a way of quantifying the change program along dimensions of breadth, depth, impact and criticality.
Use the information gathered during the change impact analysis (interviews, surveys, workshops etc.) as a starting point to score the change program in each of the 4 dimensions.
Use the analysis table to categorize the change initiative as transactional, operational or transformational. This, in turn, will help guide decision-making for which change interventions are best suited to the unique dimensions of the change program.
The exercise can be used at program or project level, as well as for different releases of a change solution. This tool supports the Change Impact Assessment deliverable and is an input into both the Change Management Strategy and Change Management Plan deliverables.
